Discontinued — archived for existing users

Wing Personal

Wing Personal was a free Python IDE for students and hobbyists. It is no longer maintained as of Wing 12, but archived installers remain available so existing users can install or reinstall it.

Latest archived release: Wing Personal 8.1.3 — 2022-02-01

Heads up

Wing Personal will not receive bug fixes or new features. For active Python development, we recommend Wing Pro (which includes a free 30-day trial) or Wing 101 if you're learning Python.

About Wing Personal

Wing Personal was designed for students, hobbyists, and casual Python users who wanted a serious IDE without the full feature set of Wing Pro. It shipped with the same editor and debugger core, omitting a few advanced tools.

It was free for non-commercial use and did not require a license to run. The product was discontinued with the release of Wing 12 to focus our resources on Wing Pro and Wing Classic.
