[wingide-users] problems with centos

Wingware will not launch on centos. If I type "wing4.1 --verbose" as the 
usr <centos> I get the error:

/usr/lib/wingide4.1/bin/gtk-bin/lib/libgdk-x11-2.0.so.0: cannot restore 
segment prot after reloc: Permission denied

I installed everything as root.  When I put in"wing4.1 --verbose" as 
root, nothing happens.  I'm using CentOS release 5.8 (Final).


To install python I did

--------------------

yum install sqlite-devel

yum install zlib-devel

./configure --prefix=/usr/local/python272

make

make install


created the file /etc/profile.d/ree.sh with the content <pathmunge 
/usr/local/python272/bin> and make to excutable
