[wingide-users] question about snippets

I would like to make a function that does this:

1. select text
2. execute function / snippet with keyboard combination

text is replaced by <stuff>text</stuff> with the cursor at the end.

How would I go about doing that?  Would it be a snippet?

It's better if <stuff> is hardcoded, rather than having to type it in every
time.
