Hi,

i am testing bazaar in Integrated Version Control of WingIde Pro 4.1 under
linux ubuntu 11.10
If i put utf-8 characters (é for example) in the message during a commit, i
get the error :
bzr: ERROR: Parameter '\xc3\xa9' encoding is unsupported by ANSI_X3.4-1968
application locale.

In terminal, "bzr commit -m "é" works.
the output of locale:
LANG=fr_FR.UTF-8
LANGUAGE=fr_FR:en
LC_CTYPE=fr_FR.UTF-8
LC_NUMERIC="fr_FR.UTF-8"
LC_TIME="fr_FR.UTF-8"
LC_COLLATE=fr_FR.UTF-8
LC_MONETARY="fr_FR.UTF-8"
LC_MESSAGES=fr_FR.UTF-8
LC_PAPER="fr_FR.UTF-8"
LC_NAME="fr_FR.UTF-8"
LC_ADDRESS="fr_FR.UTF-8"
LC_TELEPHONE="fr_FR.UTF-8"
LC_MEASUREMENT="fr_FR.UTF-8"
LC_IDENTIFICATION="fr_FR.UTF-8"
LC_ALL=

the output of "bzr --version":
Bazaar (bzr) 2.4.1

The bug occurs with python 3.2 and python 2.7.2

Thanks.
