On 18/10/10 Wing IDE Support did say:

> executable for the Python version that you want to use for that project.
I'm a big fan of virtualenv. I noticed that Wing inherits the
environment that it's run from by default, so I set an env, ran wing
from it and I think it works.
I still had to set the executable though.
