It looks for 'python' on the path and uses that if found. If not found,
it looks in common places like /usr/local/bin and /usr/bin. This actually
differs by OS somewhat, and in all cases you can set the one you want
with the Python Executable property in Project Properties.
You can see which version is being used by restarting the Python Shell
once you make any change to Project Properties (and if there is any
potential for multiple installs of the same version, try typing
'import sys' and then 'sys.executable' in the Python Shell).
