[wingide-users] Assert seen when running in the IDE, but not when running wihtout the IDE

It's not that I dont want it, I just want to udnerstand why I see the
exception only with the debugger.
It appears to be valid- that is, the wrong type is being passed in, but the
assert only is seen when the debugger is running
