I don't want to comment too much on this because I am interested in what 
people's priorities are.  That said, auto-updating projects that detect 
added, removed, and changed files are wanted with or without version 
control and are already high on our priority list.

We want to provide integrated version control features for people that 
wan to use them, but don't want to require their use so external clients 
can also be used.
