[wingide-users] scripting example question

hi,
I'm using wingide 2.1.0-1 and I'm trying to follow the scripting
example from the Wing IDE Reference Manual. (section 7.0) I'm sure I am
just missing something simple. I hope someone can help.
I place the test.py file in the proper place, (C:\Documents and
Settings\myuser\Application Data\Wing IDE 2\scripts or C:\Program Files\Wing
IDE 2.1\scripts?) pick edit->reload all scripts then, the instructions say
to execute the script by typing Escape followed by X again and then
test-script.
It doesn't seem to do anything when I am editing a .py file in wingide
and type esc-x test-script. Do I have to type this when another tool window
is selected?
thanks,
Andy
