Is it safe to apply patches that don't apply to the particular operating system? In particular there's a "Tiger" patch and I'm still on MacOS X 10.3.9. I've avoided applying it for now, but intend to upgrade to 10.4 someday and will probably forget to do it by then -- so I'd rather apply it now if it will be safely ignored. -- Russell
