Could you send your current ~/.wingide2/preferences and 
~/.wingide2/error-log files to support at wingware.com?

Then, can you try moving ~/.wingide2/preferences to 
~/.wingide2/preferences.bak and trying again?  If that works, you can 
restore your preferences file and remove the line that starts with 
'gui.display-theme='.
