Hi,
switching on "use system gtk" (in german: "System-gtk benutzen" or "gtk des 
Systems benutzen" just in case you plan to translate this :-) in preferences 
produces this and segfaults ("Gleitkomma-Ausnahme") (SuSE Professional 9.1, 
Kernel 2.6,gtk2-2.2.4):

Gleitkomma-Ausnahme

Using the wing gtk:
The ui is very slow again, 2-3 seconds to switch the highlighting of the 
editor-tabs, when changing the active file, 2-4 seconds for the ui fonts to 
display, when switching virtual desktops and so on.
my system: pentium m 1.6 centrino, 512 MB RAM (Dell Latitude D800)
