[wingide-users] Use of python_d.exe on WindowsStephan R.A. Deibel sdeibel@archaeopteryx.comThu, 4 Oct 2001 12:33:19 -0400 (EDT)
Hi, There is a problem in Wing IDE 1.1b7-2 that causes python_d.exe to crash when used for the debug process on Windows. This bug will be fixed in the next release. Most users don't need to use python_d.exe anyway, but Wing was using this as the default interpreter when it was found to be installed. A patch is now available that changes Wing to use python.exe by default instead, so that python_d.exe is only used if specified via the Project Properties or per-file Debug Properties dialogs. The patch can be obtained here: ftp://wingide.com/pub/wingide/prerelease/1.1b7/default-python-bugfix-1.1b7-2-win32.tar To install, unpack into your Wing IDE 1.1b7-2 installation to replace existing files. - Stephan ------------------------------------------------------------------------ Archaeopteryx Software, Inc.
