A new edit of the Introducing Python video is available at:
http://www.python.org/other/python.mov
The "love story" and end credits were removed in order to reduce the length
and make it more suitable for showing to "management" types. All the
interviews were left in, even the ones with students. The new edit turned
out to be 67 Mb, roughly 25% of the original size. Rich Hill, the guy that
helped me with the edit said it is about the best he can do for 15 minutes
of video at 320x240.
We haven't tried generating an MPEG version of the video yet, though we will
probably need to since I'm not sure of the popularity of Quicktime on
Windows compared to AVI or MPEG. Are there Linux clients for Quicktime?
If you go to the parent directory, it may simplify saving the video to your
computer.

We can make the smaller version of the video available as part of the Python
intro pages.
